Well good morning! So I decided to get fancy with breakfast today. And when I say fancy I mean like making pancakes from scratch. I usually go for the boxed ready to go just add water pancake mix. Well Not today!
My poor little bug has been fighting a cough and a constant running nose, so I felt like making something special for him. My sister introduced me to this recipe when she was visiting us last week, and OH MY GOODNESS it was delish!! I ended up adding some of my essential oils into this mix as well! Give it that nice christmas spirit taste to them.
Heres this awesome recipe!
For the Pancakes
• 1 1/4 c. flour
• 2 TBLS sugar
• 2 t. baking powder
• 1/2 t. salt
• 1 egg
• 1 c. milk
• 1 t. vanilla
• 1 TBLS butter, melted
• 2 drops Cinnamon Bark (Buy here)
• 3 Drops Nutmeg (Buy Here)
• 2 whole Bananas Peeled and chopped
• butter for the pan
For the Cream Cheese Glaze
• 2 oz. cream cheese, softened
• 2 TBLS butter
• 1 c. powdered sugar
• 1/2. t. vanilla
• 2-3 TBLS milk
How To:
1. Make Cream Cheese Glaze by mixing all ingredients together in a bowl and set aside.
2 . Make the pancakes by mixing ingredients together with the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in your stand up mixer. Add the egg, milk, bananas, vanilla, 3 drops of nutmeg and 2 drops of Cinnamon Bark, and melted butter and mix well. (The chopped Bananas will mix well on high).
3. Over medium heat, melt a pat of butter and pour the batter in 1/4 cup batches on a skillet. Cook each pancake for a minute or so on each side.
4. Serve by drizzling each serving with cream cheese glaze. Enjoy!!!
