Start Each Day


With a GRATEFUL heart! It's wonderful right? To feel that warmth in the morning... Feeling of happiness, and overwhelming joy. Keep it there all day. Keep that warmth in your heart all day, and see how that feels. I'm working on that right now. I'm working on letting myself feel that warmth all day long. It's a lot harder than it sounds! Especially with everything that is thrown at you in a day. It can be work, a family member, a deadline, your home, anything! Anything can change that warmth that you started your day with & tarnish it. Well let's try to fix that. Wouldn't it be fabulous to just let all that stress go, and be warm? YEA! That's my goal. No matter whats thrown at me, I want to channel that into warmth. I know I keep saying warmth, but seriously, thats how I look at it. A cozy feeling. A beautiful feeling. So here's to me having that, and allowing myself to feel that. There's a couple of things that I've made a habit so far to achieve this goal.

BREATHING.

It might sound ridiculous to be told this - I sure thought it did, but when you actually just sit there and take a few deep breaths and allow the negative to escape your mind...Well now it just feels great.

Read a few paragraphs from an inspirational book. I've been hooked on anything Shauna Niequist writes. I'm on Bread&Wine, and Savor. I also just picked up The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks -So far it makes me feel inspired to be a better person.

YOGA! Trying really hard to make it a daily thing. I look up videos on YouTube. Makes it easier to do them at home while my child is asleep.

OILS! Let me be more specific, Young Living Essential Oils. I’m always diffusing different combinations to help bring out my creativity, relaxation, calming, and peaceful mindset.

Hot Tea. mmhmm I LOVE my tea! I love trying different types! I’m hooked on some apple cider I just got the other day. - It’s fall so I only want the taste of fall!

Rest. It’s something that I treasure! My toddler is awesome at letting me rest. He sleeps all night, and wakes up at a wonderful time+Naps. I give credit to my oils for that one!

So this is my list of habits that I WANT to have. What would yours list be?
